SYSTEM CHECK



Before you take an online proctored exam, let's make sure your computer equipment will work. If you have any questions, give our proctor staff a call at 509-335-0827.


Here's what you'll need:
  • You’ll need to use Google Chrome web browser. Download Chrome Here
    Other web browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari, will not work.
  • Familiarize yourself with your computer's browser. Browser Basics
  • You’ll need to be using one of two desktop operating systems: Window or Apple.
  • A webcam with at least 640 x 480 pixel resolution. Built-in webcams should be fine.
  • A microphone connected to the computer. Many webcams have a microphone built in.
  • Headphones or speakers connected to the computer.
  • Only one monitor is allowed.
  • In order to download and run proctoring software for your session, you must have administrative privileges on the computer you are using. A library computer, for example, may not allow downloads.
  • At this time, the following platforms are not supported:
    • Microsoft Surface RT 8.1
    • iOS tablets (iPad, iPad Mini, etc.)
    • Google Chromebooks
    • Android tablets (Google Nexus 7, etc.)
    • Linux operating systems
    • Microsoft Surface RT
  • The status of each system tool below should indicate PASS.
